The Soul of the Sign: How the AS AltroStile Brand was Born

Welcome behind the scenes of my digital atelier. Often, when we admire a finished garment, we forget that every buttonhole, every fold, and every shade is born from a precise choice. I've dedicated the same care I put into the pattern making of my Girè to creating the visual identity of AS AltroStile. Today I want to tell you how a simple sign, a pictogram, and a color palette have become the signature of my promise of style.

Creating the logo was the first, fundamental step. I wanted a symbol that was not just an acronym, but that contained my story and my technical authority as a pattern maker. I chose to combine the initials of my first and last name: AS (Sonia Ambrogiani).
These two letters, intertwined with clean lines and geometric rigor, represent the seal of my personal dedication. They are the autograph I place on every project, ensuring that every piece that leaves my workshop carries with it the balance between technical precision and creative vision. It's a subtle, almost sculptural sign, that doesn't need to shout to be recognized, just like the elegance I try to convey.

While working on the lines of my initials, from the curves of the A and the roundness of the S, a stylized figure emerged that captured my heart. If the letters represent my technical signature, this pictogram is its deepest inspiration.
For me, this stylized image is the essence of feminine happiness. It is a woman embracing herself, rejoicing in her own existence, raising her arms high in a gesture of freedom and triumph. It is a figure who not only moves through space but inhabits it with splendor. It is the symbol of the woman I wish to dress with my Girè: a woman who recognizes herself, who feels comfortable, and who lets her inner light shine.
Once the sign was defined, it needed a voice through color. The choice of my primary palette — Cream, Red, and Black — was not accidental, but the result of a search for contrasts that define authentic femininity.
Cream intervenes to unite these powerful contrasts. It is my blank canvas, the color of selected raw materials and the purity of artisanal work. It represents a calm "luxury," a timeless elegance that doesn't follow fleeting trends. Cream is the background that allows red to shine and black to define, creating a visual balance that reassures and welcomes.
Red is the heartbeat of AS AltroStile. It's not an aggressive red, but a deep, saturated shade that represents the energy, vitality, and passion I infuse into every single stitch. It's the choice for the woman who chooses not to go unnoticed, who possesses an inner strength that deserves to shine. It's the color of our "City of Light" collection, which ignites the soul of those who wear our Girè.
Alongside red, I placed black. It's the color of millimeter precision, clean cuts, and sartorial structure. For me, as a pattern maker, black is the architectural skeleton that supports style. It represents technical authority, the depth of creative thought, and the stability that allows a decisive femininity to evolve without ever losing its form. It is the shadow that gives depth to light.
Finally, there is a color that acts silently, but which for me has a profound meaning: Pink. If black is the line and red is the energy, pink is harmony.
I chose it as an accent shade for a specific reason: it represents listening to the desires of every real woman. It is the color of empathy and sartorial kindness, designed to soften contrasts and embrace the feminine figure with gentleness. You will find it in the details, interiors, and atmospheres of our digital atelier, like an invisible thread that connects technique to the heart, reminding us that the true power of femininity also lies in its grace.
Every Girè that leaves my atelier carries this balance: the passion of red, the rigor of black, the sweetness of pink, and the calm of cream. Because for us, style is not just what you wear, but the way you inhabit it.
